Touchless spatial theremin powered by MediaPipe computer vision and Web Audio DSP oscillators.
Acoustics & Synthesis
1. Theremin Principle:
Invented by Léon Theremin in 1920, the instrument produces continuous pitch via hand proximity to antennas. Here, spatial vision computes geometric height ($y$-axis) to frequency: $f = f_0 \cdot 2^{k(1-y)}$.
2. Harmonic Filtering:
A 24dB/oct Biquad low-pass filter dynamically attenuates higher harmonics as the left hand moves horizontally.
